Flights arriving in the Dalyan area land at the Dalaman International Airport just about 30 minutes from Dalyan. From the airport in Dalaman there are regular taxi transportation, hotel vans, and tour company transports all that can be arranged in advance of your arrival either online or with your travel or tour operator. Once you arrive in Dalyan you can go pretty much anywhere you'd want to go by making use of the mini-bus system. It is cheap and reliable and the scheduled transport times are fairly often up until early evening. If you do not want to rely on public transportation, there are many rental agencies where you can rent a car. And if you are a bit more adventurous there are small scooters for rent at many agencies. Just be sure to be extra cautious driving any vehicle in Turkey as it can sometimes be rather dangerous, especially on a scooter. For transportation to the beaches or to Köycegiz you can also take one of the river boats. They are available by the Mosque in city central down by the boat docks. For more extensive touring along the south coast there are also motorcoach companies with large modern buses that are quite luxurious and comfortable if you choose a company like Varan or Ulusoy.
