The Caretta Caretta Restaurant in Dalyan
In 1989, our restaurant started to serve as one of the most selective kitchens in Dalyan. Our kitchen serves not only the unique tastes of traditional Turkish cuisine but also special samples of international cuisine. In the afternoon we mainly serve to people on the tours coming from nearby sites like Marmaris, Fethiye and Bodrum. Our restaurant garden has a large and spacious capacity of 600 seats.
The fascinating scenery of the Rock Tombs, right across our restaurant, is constantly a source of awe and amazement both to our guests and also to our staff and ourselves alike. The friendly atmosphere always shared between our guests and our staff has brought us good friends all around the world who always come back to dine with us again whenever they are in Dalyan. In our restaurant you can also enjoy live music with Turkish, English and Spanish songs.
Our rich menu inludes the unique dishes from the Ottoman kitchen and the very best fresh fish is bought daily or caught by our staff from the local Dalyan River. We also offer the very finest and most selective tastes of international cuisine dishes.
The architectual planning and application of our restaurant was done by architect Nail Cakirhan who was awarded the 1973 Aga Han Award of Architecture.

The main road and the path along the river have dozens of restaurants. You can find traditional Turkish food and a variety of others. Many have great views of the river and the Lykian tombs. Finding a restaurant in Dalyan is never a problem during tourist season as they all have 'front men' standing out on the street doing their best to drag you in. If you are a fan of Turkish foods it is often best to look for a restaurant with mostly Turkish diners eating in it - like Metin behind the bank across from the mini-bus station. Of course, there is the Ley Ley in Ockular, the Golbasi out by Sulunger Lake, and Bengisu in Dalyan are always a must try.
You can also stop of at the Pop-In Dalyan Fun Pub who serve the widest selection of International Cocktails and have an extensive menu of both traditional Turkish quisine and good old English dishes; from fish and chips to steak and kidney pie.
